Petit Verdot

Blue grape. Is one of the six varieties allowed to be used in Bordeaux blends. As a rule, not much is used, approx. 1%-3% of the total mixture. Has a very deep red color and lots of tannin. Petit Verdot is also increasingly being used and cultivated in California.
