Kefalonia is a wine region in Greece in Europe located in the region of the Ionian Islands. Greece has its own rules on wine production and perhaps even special legislation. It may also be that in areas such as Kefalonia traditionally use some very special grapes or are known for a special climate and good soil conditions.
