Meunier

Grape variety
Blue grape. Meunier is the grape's French name and means "mills". Used primarily in mixtures where it contributes softness, fatness and fruity nuances. It buds late and ripens early - which makes it suitable for slightly cooler regions around the world. Is one of the 3 grapes that can be used in the production of Champagne, along with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It is grown primarily in Champagne in France and in parts of Germany.
