Mourvèdre

Blue grape. "Mourvèdre" is the grape's French name. Cultivated primarily in Spain and France on the coasts facing the Mediterranean. Used i.a. in blends from Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf du Pape. Has a deep red color and a strong taste of fruit. Also often used in southern French red wines.
